Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all our friends, visitors and readers of this blog. The group started again today, after the Christmas and New Year holidays and although few in numbers the children all had a fun time. We look forward to seeing more of our friends next week.

Two upcoming events that are going to be held at St Anne's church, are two films. The first, which is on Sunday 13th January, 5pm, is a showing of Walt Disney's 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' based on the classic story by C S Lewis.

The second film is on Sunday 27th January, 5pm, is 'The God Man' and 'is the story Christ as you've never seen before'. Created by
Hollywood professionals in consultation with Wycliffe Bible Translators, it brings the story of Jesus alive for the 21st century.
Everyone is most welcome and admission is free for both films. All children must be accomanied by a parent. Refreshments will be in the Hall.

Surprise visitor

Much fun was had by everyone at the Group's Christmas party. There was plenty to eat and drink (a big thank you to everyone who brought something along) and the toddlers were having a great time playing together. We then all heard bells jingling and who should walk through the door with a big sack on his back, but Santa Claus himself!
Once he'd sat down, he began handing out presents to all the children. Some weren't too sure about going up to get their present, but bravely went up with the help of a grown up. Before Santa left, the children all sang a song to him, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone then said 'Goodbye' to him and the children returned to their playtime.
A very big 'Thank you' to everyone who helped make the party such a success.

Harry's Blog

Harry likes having a man in his tractor, he likes the yellow tractor. He pushes the tractors. You see tractors on the farm, you see cows on the farm and fish!?! Harry would like to go in a tractor, he has been on one in Folly Farm. Yes, it was lovely. He also loves trains, especially the one at Fairbourne. He is going on the Santa Special Train at Welshpool for Christmas. He gets a toy and mum and dad get mince pies.

When I met Harry he told me that the digger did not have a bucket.
